ETHICAL MANUFACTURE

A garment's impact doesn’t end with the materials used. Just as much care and attention should go into who and how they are made with safe working conditions and liveable wages.

Great minds think a like

We pride ourselves in only working with a handful of likeminded manufacturers who share our passion for quality clothing but also our concerns for environmental and ethical practices.

Most of our suppliers we have worked with since day one. They are family-run business, handed down through generations in which through the years we have become part of the family ourselves.

A close eye on things

Unfortunately, we live in a world of smoke and mirrors, every day we hear stories of false claims and misleading information. We wanted to work with suppliers as local as possible so we could see first hand, not just the clothing we make but also the people that make them and the conditions they work in.

They are our family and it is our priority to ensure that our workers are happy and any of their concerns or issues are heard first hand.

Positive people and practices

All of our suppliers share our standards for positive practices; good living wages, safe working conditions, fair working hours and a voice for the working people. Our Turkish suppliers often go above and beyond this for example, they provide a free collection and drop-off service to their employees as well as 1 free meal a day cooked in their in-house canteen.

Each of our suppliers takes part in the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) covering Sedex’s four pillars of Labour, Health and Safety, Environment and Business Ethics.

Ditching dirty dyes

We commit to solely using organic certified dyes for all of our fabrics. Carefully controlled, mixed and tested in our in-house laboratory to ensure the highest quality dyes that stand the test of time.

Not only does this mean our clothing is kinder to your skin but our workers are not exposed to any harmful chemicals or emissions during the dying process and none of those dirty chemicals ends up in our waste and waterways.

Going the extra mile

Our manufacturers go the extra mile for their employees giving perks like free lunch and transport. Ans of course they are treated with respect at all times.

A war against waste

As our suppliers have grown with us they have invested in techniques and equipment using the latest technology to reduce waste in each stage of the manufacturing process. Our factories on average produce far less waste than conventional practices.

This isn't where it ends, we go one step further by providing any fabric waste that absolutely can't be used to a local recycling supplier which is then used to produce blankets.
