The impact of the cotton industry is no laughing matter, covering 2.8% of global arable land while contributing more than 10% of the world´s pesticides and 25% of its insecticides.
These irresponsible practices have damaged communities, forced farmers out of business and transformed huge bodies of water into dry earth.
We have committed to only using organic cotton clothing, produced without the use of harmful chemicals and certified to organic agricultural standards. Its production prioritises the health of soils, the environment, and people by using natural processes rather than unnecessary artificial inputs.
A glass half full
Conventional cotton uses huge amounts of water, it accounts for nearly 60% of the worlds water usage, taking tens of thousands of litres to produce 1kg of cotton, the equivalent of a single t-shirt.
Organic cotton uses far less water, deriving mainly from rain collection, decreasing the impact on our environment.

All of our organic cotton has been approved by the Global Organic Textile Standard, an organisation which aims to ensure the validity of organic materials - from the harvesting of the raw materials, through to environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing.
As well as GOTS accreditation, our manufacturers are proud members of the SMETA group, measuring and guaranteeing their performance against environmental and ethical targets.
