Here at Positive Outlook Clothing, we work to ensure that our products and services are as eco-friendly as possible. One way in which we do this is by using sustainable packaging materials. Read on to learn more…
Plastic-Free
Did you know that packaging from Europe alone creates over 14.7 million tonnes of plastic waste? The vast majority of this ends up in landfill, where it takes up to 450 years to break down. We do not think that this is acceptable! We refuse to contribute to such waste, which is why we use only sustainable packaging materials.
We have never - and will never - use plastic in our packaging. We even make sure to use string or paper-based twine instead of plastic cables to connect our hang tags.
The Forest Stewardship Council And Sustainable Packaging Materials
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is the world’s most trusted sustainable forest management organisation, boasting over 25 years of experience. All of our packaging is sourced from FSC-certified forests, meaning that there is vast effort expended to ensure the material used is environmentally appropriate and socially beneficial, whilst still being economically viable.
Minimalism
If you have ordered from us before, you may have noticed that we keep our packaging fairly minimalistic. This isn’t just because we like the style, it’s also more eco-friendly.
Avoiding a multitude of bright colours and using numerous materials means that fewer raw materials are required. It also makes the packaging easier to recycle AND it biodegrades faster.
